A practice mute is what many musicians use when practicing in hotel rooms, or while their family is sleeping. I find teens who want to practice late at night really find them valuable. At the higher end, the sky is the limit, but if you have the money to spend, I’m a big fan of Mode Designs. I recently reviewed the Sonnet and loved the experience, but that’s sadly not going to be available in time for the holidays. If you know the kind of style the person you are buying for is into, then keycaps may be a nice option. To avoid buying new, carefully open, save and reuse ribbons, bows, gift bags, boxes and wrapping paper you receive.
